After being apparently hospitalized in Los Angeles for a potential seizure, Brandy is expressing her gratitude to her supporters for their “prayers and support.”
According to law enforcement officials, emergency services were called to the singer and actor’s Los Angeles home on Tuesday at noon. Brandy is anticipated to recover from the medical mishap, according to TMZ. As of Wednesday morning, she was reported with her parents at the hospital.
In a statement posted on social media on Wednesday, Brandy thanked her “loving fam, friends, and Starz” for their good wishes. “I am getting the rest I require as per the advice of the physicians due to dehydration and inadequate nutrition. Thank you all, and I’ll see you soon.
The LAPD has been contacted by The Times. Brandy’s representative did not immediately react Wednesday to The Times’ request for comment. Brandy’s full name is Brandy Norwood.
In June 2017, the Grammy winner was admitted to the hospital after becoming ill on a Delta Air Lines aircraft out of Los Angeles International Airport. After the flight crew learned of the situation and returned to the plane at the gate, firefighters and paramedics went to the airport and took Brandy to the hospital.
In a statement at the time, Brandy’s longtime publicist, Courtney Barnes, stated that the strain of all the traveling and nonstop work had worn her out. She will unwind during the coming days.
