One of the most well-known broadcasters on Twitch, Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa, revealed that she is married and provided proof of her husband’s abusive conduct in a stream early on Sunday morning, as noticed by Hunter Grooms of the esports organization The Guard(opens in new tab). Siragusa claimed her husband was in charge of her finances, forced her to stream more than she wanted to, and threatened to murder her pets if she didn’t stop.

Four movies that were excerpted from the stream of Siragusa were shared by the grooms. Due to the fact that the recordings show instances of emotional and psychological abuse, viewers are recommended to use discretion. In the first, she can be seen speaking to her husband on speakerphone. After a protracted silence in which Siragusa challenges the man’s motives for threatening to murder her pet dogs, he orders her to leave the premises. The remainder of the video features the man castigating Siragusa, calling her a liar, and disputing his threat to kill her dogs. Based on the clips, it’s not obvious if he was aware that he was alive.

The next videos include Siragusa discussing how her husband tried to control her finances and threatened to leave her with “just $1 million” if she took any legal action. For context, a September Kotaku interview(opens in new tab) stated that Siragusa’s OnlyFans, Twitch, Patreon, and other businesses generate a net income of over $1.7 million each month.

The streamer claims that she was forced to chase that revenue, and she has been seen working 12-hour hours while being filmed. In the second Hunter Grooms film, Siragusa references a therapist who called her circumstances “a luxury prison” and “a sort of psychological assault.” Additionally, Siragusa displayed text messages in which her spouse criticized and insulted her for her streaming schedule.

The last segment of Siragusa’s stream(opens in new tab)features her responding to an off-camera woman who inquires about if she has taken her medication and whose query appears to perplex Siragusa. The streamer has not been online or posted any updates since the incident as of the time of writing.

In the aforementioned interview with Kotaku from last month, Siragusa describes herself as a self-employed businesswoman with plans to start an animal sanctuary. These movies imply that she is being abused and exploited by an intimate partner, who she claims sought to conceal his existence in order to better promote the Amouranth illusion. The streamer has already faced with stalking incidents and a possible arson at her home(opens in new tab) (opens in new tab). This story will be updated when new information becomes available.
